This film tells the story of the end of a reign and of the end of a life, that of François Mitterand. While the president is fighting his last battles against illness, a passionate young reporter strives to get from him universal lessons of wisdom about politics and history, on love and literature…Certainties on life.But the old man has none to give as for him now time is when past, present and future become one; a time where only doubts remain, the time when all men are equal: the one of closeness to death.
