Amidst the broken images crowding his mind, Oblomov lives horizontally. Confined to his daybed, in his dressing gown, he spends his days turning laziness into an art form. He dreams of his country estate, “Oblomovka”, the lost paradise of his childhood. However, a move, the arrival of his friend Stolz and his passion for the young Olga will cause his desire to withdraw from the world to falter for a moment.
