IIn 1974, Carolyn Carlson, recently welcomed into the Paris Opéra by Rolf Lieberman,
created “Density 21,5”. To music by Edgar Varèse, she appeared as a sphinx of modernity. Ten years later, at Venice’s Fenice, she created “Blue Lady”, a rich exploration of the uncertainties, emotions, sensations and memories which make up the four seasons. “Blue Lady” was enormously successful and traveled to more than forty countries. Today, she has returned to solo performance in her six-part self portrait
