The most liberated of the French jazzmen. A virtuoso, he enriches contemporary music by giving the art a universal dimension. Since 1978, the Bernard Lubat Company has been a unit of research and artistic creation where jazz and regional cultures meet and mix. The “Scatrap Jazzcogne”, animated by improvisation and the transartistic melting-pot, is a lively place, inaugurating a style beyond the bounds of all academia, and of all classification.Filmed in Uteste, Lubat is
surrounded by great musicians such as Michel Portal and Archie Shepp.
