It’s the story of Mrs Jacquet, who runs a beauty parlour in a small town in Auvergne. Her employee, Irene, suffers from acute eczema on her hands which keeps away all her customers. To remedy this, and win back her clientele, she decides to offer her a trip to a medical spa. But she hasn’t got the
necessary funds to pay this « illness leave ». The film is a merry-go-round. The money travels around and ends up where it left off. The originality of this circling is that the money is never once touched, used or spent. We never see the actual money. It’s in a sealed envelope. Only, the characters will be changed by riding this merry-go-round.
