Through the portrait of a group of teenagers, this film looks at political commitment. It tries to understand how political awareness emerges and how, as we come to grips with the world, we analyze and try to change it for the better. The film follows a group of militant teenagers who work with a little-known group called les diffuseurs de L’Etincelle (the spark diffusers), originally called “Le socialisme par le bas” (Socialism from Below). They are innately anti-capitalist and believe another world is possible. While they know their history and refer to Marx and Lenin, they are in phase with the present and participate in the anti-globalization battles of their times (Millau, Montpellier, Genoa, etc…)
