Thérèse Clerc, 86, has devised a self-managed residence for women nearing the end of their lives: the Maison des Babayagas. After a twelve-year struggle, it finally sees the light of day in Montreuil.
The Maison des Babayagas is a project open onto the city, where residents will organize cultural and festive activities for the neighbourhood. Twenty women had to be convinced to move to Montreuil to volunteer 10 hours a week to run the association. Not an easy task!
Will the Babayagas manage to transform utopia into social innovation?
