In the strange and spectacular bayous of South West Louisiana, French speaking Cajuns and Creoles have preserved a unique culture whose main ingredients are music and dance. Meetings with several musicians, whether old or young, black or white, filmed at home or in concert, reveal the extent to which Cajun and Zarico music is part of daily life. Influenced by different forms of American popular music
yet indifferent to show business, this creative music is a testimony to the outstanding vitality of Louisiana’s “Creole nation”.
