Lisbon is a city in movement, a city of contrasts, debased, popular, middle-class and hip. A city whose the topography has changed faster the men and women who inhabit it. If a great part of the population in their forties an fifties have been nurtured in the spirit of contest against the fascist regime of the Estado Novo, the young generation in their twenties is still torn between desire for modernity displayed by the city’s new buildings and the weight of tradition values that still hold strong. Among them are Paulo, Monica, and Joao.
