They left school, in some cases a long time ago. 2, 10, 20, 30 years later, they come back to prepare for the baccalaureate at the Lycée Municipal de la Ville de Paris (LMA), the only example in France (and there are few in Europe) of an establishment that allows students to resume their interrupted studies for 80 euros a year. In the evening, 250 people meet 6 days a week, from 6 pm to 10 pm to prepare for the exam. They are between 22 and 50 years old and are in their second, first or final year of secondary school.
With the baccalauréat in their pockets, they will be able to access the higher education they dream of in silence, or simply find peace with themselves.
