For ten years now, Brazil has been diversifying its international relations, opening new embassies, giving a voice to the Southern hemisphere and offering a vision of a different world. What is this democracy of 193 million inhabitants that, unlike its three fellow members of the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) doesn’t have the atomic bomb? That demands a permanent seat on the UN Security Council? That requests an overhaul of the international monetary system? That shakes up the World Trade Organization and accelerates the sharing of world governing? This film was shot in Brasilia in April and May 2010, during the double summit of the BRIC nations and the IBSA Dialogue Forum (India, Brazil, South Africa). It’s a “sky-movie”, a Brazil seen from the sky in its relations with the rest of the planet.
