Marie-Laure and Carla love each other since twenty-five years. Their three daugters have been conceived by artificial insemination. The french law protects Marie-Laure bonds with the childrens because she is the biological parent. On the other hand, to be reconized as the second parent ( or social parent ), Carla had to enter a legal procedure called “Simple adoption” of Giulietta, Luana, Zelina ( french specific adoption which allows to add another filiation to biological filiation, without touching this one ). The film is made with testimonies of people around the family, which are the record that the judge had in hand to make up the decision. The witnesses (a majority of heterosexuals with children) question themselves about parentalrelations, gender, consequences of lack of father, family evolutions.Their cross words make way to Carla’s motherhood.A family with two mums, why not ?
