To celebrate Octave and Alix’s golden wedding anniversary, family and friends are invited to spend a weekend at their country residence, La Rolandière. But Alix, who has recently moved to a care home, has Alzheimer’s disease and cannot remember that she has been married to Octave for 50 years. She brings her lover Farhad, a handsome Iranian of her age suffering from the same condition, to the family estate. The two septuagenarians bill and coo like young lovers beneath the astonished gaze of Dora, Octave and Alix’s daughter, and of Iradj, Farhad’s son. Octave, the neglected husband, refuses to accept this situation…
